Tripod Travelers offers premium, all inclusive wildlife and nature photography vacations, workshops and tours to a broad list of destinations. Our philosophy is simple, we leverage both our photography and location expertise to get you in the right place at the right time to capture amazing photographs both safely and without disturbing the ecosystems we engage.
We are different. Our clients spend zero time managing a vacation and instead focus their time relaxing and engaging nature while improving their photography skills. We keep the group size small and travel together so we can effectively communicate, teach, participate, experience, and have fun as a team.
We come together as strangers and leave as friends!
We are park permittees in all US National Parks we visit.
Due to Covid restrictions both Domestically and Abroad, we have suspended all future trips. Once restrictions are removed, we will update all of our clients on our 2021 schedule. We apologize for any inconvenience.

We research, pre-visit, and work with local partners to build extensive and productive itineraries. Our wildlife locations are selected based on the diversity of nature, guide expertise, time of year, and opportunity for success. We also believe, where you sleep is just as important as where you shoot. We will never place our clients in a "motel" environment. You deserve to rejuvenate in a quality hotel that is always close to the action and makes your stay the vacation it deserves to be. You are not participating in a workshop, you are being immersed in an experience.

Learn Wildlife and Nature Photography
With over 20 years of photography experience, we simplify the sometimes confusing world of photography and do it in some of the best bucket list destinations. We will help you with the technical and creative approaches to wildlife and nature photography. If you need assistance in post processing, we can help there too! For the more experienced photographers we welcome you to take advantage of our great destination knowledge, shoot away and let us know if we can help.
Beginners and Hobbyists, Tripod Travelers will help solve the mysteries of Shutter Speed, Aperture, ISO, Depth of Field, Histogram, Exposure Compensation, RAW vs. JPEG, Camera Settings, and much more. Once we get the cameras clicking, we work with your composition so you walk away with pro grade photos and many more "keepers."

So what's included in the price? Photography and Guide Expertise, Lodging, Ground Transportation, Meals, Snacks, Fees, and all the little things that make a vacation memorable.
Not included: airfare, hotel incidentals, and alcoholic beverages (unless specified in the itinerary)
What Makes Us Different?

No rental car, taxi, shuttles, or arranging carpools. We pick up/drop off gate to gate.

No missing photo opportunities due to pulling cars off the road. No caravans, carpools, or convoys. We keep our clients together in a spacious touring van.

No clients spread out in multiple hotels or meeting at unnecessary "rally points". While our competitors are gathering people or worse waiting for them to find their own way to the location, we are in the field shooting.
